Tretyakov Konstantin Pavlovich. 1896-1982. Arkhangelsk region

Born in the village near Arkhangelsk in the family of a roofer. Having finished 5 grades of the village school, was an apprentice at the art-studio in St.Petersburg, and after that - at the icon-painting studio at the Solovetsk monastery. Painted the shop-signs and pictures on commission in Arkhangelsk, in 1920 was the head of the industrial art workshop. In 1923-1938 worked in the police, later as the head of the local museum and recreation club. Participated in the exhibitions since 1920. Tretyakov’s favourite themes - Northern nature, festivals, episodes of the revolution and the Civil war.
