Tyapkina Alexandra Grigorievna. 1918-1997. Chita

Born in the village Bazanovo, Chita region in the peasants family. Worked as a cleaner, as a cinema-operator assistant, but the main profession of Tyapkina is a tailor. Started to draw in 1966, even the first drawings of hers were found worth exhibiting at the All-Union exhibition of the amateur artists. For several years took instructions at PUAC. Among her works one can find the industrial landscapes, episodes of the Decembrists life in Chita exile, but the most famous are still-life paintings and floral tapestry, in which she vividly expressed her decorative talent. Many experts tend to call Tyapkina among 10 best Russian naive artists.
