It's better not to recollect how she could survive during the war with two children. But she never lost her kindness, soul generosity and belief in people. And she gave these qualities to her children. Their mother was always the kindest, fairest and the most interesting person.
Vasily Makarovich confessed that he never knew better rest than his mother's tales and songs, conversations with her. He used to say that it was his mother who taught him to write.
