New features of the exposition: A project of an exhibition "The Boratynsky family. Boratynsky's descendants in Russian art" is prepared for the 200th anniversary of the poet (year 2000). Research work: The President of Russian Federation offered a grant on publishing "The Chronicle of Feodor Tyutchev's Life and Works" (Part I, 1803-1844). The book was published in April 1999. Events: Children's festival "Pushkin in Russian poetry" (August 26, 1999).
