There are quite a lot of self-made philosophers and visionaries among the naive painters. One of them is Pavel Leonov. A model of an ideal world is presented in each of his works. At the turn of the 1960-ies-1970-ies he made a series of works which illustrated "The Moral Code of the Communism Builder". In his painting called "Circus" the bright communist future is interpreted as an Eden, where humans and beasts live in peace. One of the most significant mythologemas of the human mind - dream of "the golden age" - was worked out in Leonov's art.
