At the exhibition hall of the Belfry of the Moscow Kremlin there is
exhibition "Russian Tsars' Arsenal". 140 virtu from the collection of
Armoury Museum acquaint us with the main periods of the development of
Russian weapons culture. On display there are works by the best masters from
Russia, Europe and the East of the 17th-18th centuries.

From the History of Russian Diplomacy
In State Historical Museum there is exhibition "From the History of Russian
Diplomacy. To Bicentenary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs". On display
there are exhibits from the funds of the Historical Museum, archives of
Russian Empire foreign policy and of the Russian Federation foreign policy
of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and also from private collections. More
than 300 items are presented at the exhibition.

Opening of New Name in the Recent History of Art
It's not randomly that the first museum exhibition of works by Evgeny
Dodonov is called "Vicissitude": opening of a new name in the recent history
of art lets us understand in another way artist's personality and features
of the art process. Evgeny Dodonov - is a secret modernist of the Soviet art
of 1960-1970s. The exhibition in the Tretyakov Gallery clues the secret.

Cave-Treasury in Museum of Architecture
For the first time of its existence exhibition life begins in the vault of
the Chemist's Department of Tsar Alexey Mikhailovich of State Museum of
Architecture named after Schusev (in the 17th century there was the ground
floor of the building). Alexander Shumov will represent his project "Swiss
Discoveries. Secret Signs. Erken Kagarov". The vaulting of the oldest floor
of Chemist's Department is right for the experiments through the bounds of
genres, epochs and cultures.

To 95th Anniversary of State Darwin Museum
In October, 2002, State Darwin Museum will celebrate its 95th anniversary.
Exactly 95 years passed from the time when in 1907 Alexander Fedorovich Kots
had founded the museum. Since that time museum collections have been
created, new building has been built, contemporary exposition has been
formed. On the occasion of the anniversary there was prepared luminous and
musical video-exposition "Living Planet" which will unexpectedly change the
hall of the ground floor.

History of Relations Between Ukraine and Russia
Exhibition Hall of Federal State Archives is glad to present historical and
art exhibition "Ukraine and Russia in the 17-18th centuries". The period
described at the exhibition was tragic and heroic in the fates of the both
peoples. Fight of the Ukrainians for their freedom ended in break with Rech
Pospolitaya and in creating of new Ukrainian state system; at the same time
with those events there was formed great absolutist state - Russian Kingdom.
These processes finished by the end of the 18th century and resulted in
joining of the largest part of the Ukraine into Russian Empire and including
Ukrainian political and cultural figures into the structure of all-Russian
institutions where they became to play one of the main parts.

Professor Lebedinsky's Trick
"Izvestia" newspaper and "Vist-Computers" with the support of "Radio
Shanson" are glad to represent photographic exhibition of works by Alexey
Lebedinsky "Professor Lebedinsky's Trick". In "Izvestia" Media Centre there
is to open the first personal exhibition of photo works by famous musician
and singer Alexey (Professor) Lebedinsky.

In the Centre - There's a Man
In Alexandrovsky Hall of Winter Palace there is exhibition "In the Centre -
There's a Man" which represents more than 80 paintings, sculptures and
graphic works from art collection of Deutsche Bank. On display there are
drawings, paintings, sculpture by famous expressionists; grotesque satiric
canvases by Otto Diks, George Grosz (1920s); conventionalized water-colours
by Oscar Schlemmer (1930s); works by famous masters of past-war period.

Bernard Schulze's Informel
Exhibition of works by Bernard Schulze was opened in Marble Palace. On
display there are more than 100 of paintings and installations of 1960-2000s
created by modern German artist Bernard Schulze. For the first time the
exhibition demonstrates to Russian audience great field of "informel" art
which is very important for understanding of German art of the post-war
period as it is international and very German phenomenon at the same time.

Lady in Interiors of the 19th - beginning of the 20th centuries
Elaginoostrovsky Palace and Museum of Russian Arts and Crafts and Interior
of the 18th - beginning of the 20th centuries invites you to the exhibition
"Lady in Interior". On display there are paintings, graphic works, costumes
by Saint Petersburg masters. Exposition is situated in the halls of the
Palace and in the exhibition hall "Karetny" of Stable Building of
Elaginoostrovsky Palace and Museum. In the font halls and in the halls of
the first floor of the Palace and Museum there are objects of furniture of
Russian interior of the 19th - beginning of the 20th centuries from the
funds of the Museum and also there are costumes from the collection of
N.A.Kostrigina.

Photographs That Didn't Exist
Exhibition Hall of State Museum of Urban Sculpture invites you to visit
exhibition "Photographs That Didn't Exist". The exhibition was prepared
under the initiative of German Museum of Hygiene and of German Union of Aid
to Invalids "Action: Human Being". The exhibition was first installed in
autumn 2000 in German Museum of Hygiene. In June 2002 the exhibition was
displayed in Moscow Museum of Photograph.

Illustrated History of War of 1812
In Museum of History of Revolutionary and Democratic Movement there is
exhibition dedicated to 190th anniversary of Borodino Battle. On display
there are documents and letters of witnesses of the battle, cards, coins and
memorial badges issued in 1912 and also festive edition of the book of the
cycle "Library, 1812", unique "Works by Imperial Russian Military and
Historical Society".

Endless Trip to China
Museum of Zigmund Freud's Dreams represents the exhibition of works by
Sergey Anufriev "Endless Trip to China". On display there are 98 drawings
created on a special Tibetan hand-made paper. The drawings demonstrate to us
fictitious trip to China - land of dream and refined art.

Formation of Karelian State System
Karelian State Museum of Regional Studies represents the exhibition "View
from the 20s:" This is the first address of the museum to the complicated
period of formation of State system of Karelia. Authors tried to recreate
historical events of the 20-30s, to uncover the problems of national
formation of the region, of economy, agriculture and social and cultural
development.

Bicentenary of Kolyvansky Stone Saw Works
In State Art Museum of Altay Region there is exhibition dedicated to
bicentenary of Kolyvansky Stone Saw Works named after Polzunov. On display
of the first exhibition there are works from the collection of the Museum.
The second exhibition "Treasures of Kolyvanskaya Box" represents the works
by the winners of the Regional Contest of Children's Creative Activity that
was dedicated to the history of the factory.
